About Dr. Zan Smith
Dr. Zan Smith is a visionary leader and expert in healthcare administration. She holds advanced degrees in Doctor of Nursing Practice | HealthCare System Leadership, Masters in Health Administration, and Masters in Science in Nursing | Education. Her career is marked by a series of transformative achievements in clinical and executive leadership roles. As the former Director of Service Line and Program Development at Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center, Dr. Smith spearheaded innovative programs that significantly improved patient care and operational performance.
Dr. Smith’s leadership has also been instrumental in previous leadership roles as Director of Critical Care Services (ICU, PCU, Telemetry, Code Blue/Rapid Response Team, Dialysis, and Organ Procurement through innovative prevention strategies throughout clinical practices. Her adept use of Lean Six Sigma methodologies has embedded a culture of continuous improvement within the teams she has led, enhancing operational efficiencies and service expansion, particularly in critical care and surgical services.
